This light grey Jäkälä Myssy Balaclava Beanie is hand-knitted by Myssy Grannies in Pöytyä Finland from 100% organic Finn sheep wool. The colour is a natural mix of different colours of wool.

The battle of Balaclava took place in 1850s in the Crimean war, where the Russians fought the British. It was so cold that the British army was given a new kind of headgear that was later named Balaclava according to the place.
